How do you determin the age of a common home aquarium snail??

We recantly baught a new aquarium with a snail the size of a golf ball and we are wondering how old it is aproximatly??The snail that is, Not the aquarium! we now it is new??lolThanks all|||Sounds like your snail is 2-3 years old. If i were you i wouldnt keep it, because i have had many bad experiences with snails. Whenever a breeding pair is found (and it will eventually happen because when you buy fish snails sometimes come along for the ride) THEY REPRODUCE LIKE CRAZY.

Anyway ill just add my 2 cents by saying what fish do you have, if your new tank is around 10 gallons try putting in some bamboo or some small tetras. If its a 30 gallon try getting some large saltwater rocks and make a cool design. If its a 100 gallon well BUY FLOWER HORNS|||sumthing to do w/ the spiral on its shell|||about a yearor two.

the longest ive kept one is 6 years. it was 1mm when i got it.
