What kind of snail would work best with my kind of aquarium?

I have a tropical, freshwater, heavily planted tank and I'm looking to get a couple of snails. It's a biocube (8 gallons).

Here's what I'm looking for:

-Good price, preferably $5 or less

-Good for beginners

-Won't eat plants

-Fun to watch

-Won't reproduce like crazy and become a pest

-Easy to find in pet stores

Would an assassin snail be a good one?|||mystery snails..they will do very strange and funny things.

http://www.squidoo.com/Mystery_Snails|||While the assassin snail won't eat your plants, they're uncommon and so might not be so cheap nor easy to find. But they're either male or female so if you get only one you have no problem. They're difficult to sex too so if you get a pair they will reproduce.

http://www.wetwebmedia.com/ca/volume_6/v鈥?/a>|||assassin snails are not easy to care for, they need to be fed meet and other snails. Nerite snails are cool and wont eat plants, and they can not reproduce in fresh water, but might scatter some sesame seed like eggs now and then.|||Mystery snails! they come in different colors and they wont bother any other fish.|||People actually pay money for snails?
