Can I keep a snail in a 1 gallon tank with a filter?

I have this 1 gallon aquarium with a filter that my sister used for shrimp. I know this is a really small tank, so I don't want to put fish in there, but I was wondering if one aquatic snail would be alright.|||Yes you can but it depends on the species. golden apple snail will be fine in such tank.

you can also house your 1 gallon tank with betta.

some info on betta: http://www.aquariumpassion.com/profiles/鈥?/a>|||ya you can put 3-4 snails in there and you may not even need a filter because they clean and eat the stuff the filter sucks up. if you decide o get fish i would recomend a bumble bee catfish because they only get 2 inches long and can live by themselves and prefer to live by themselves|||Sure you can, just make sure you only get one because they are addicted to sex and you should only have one or you will see a million babies. but you should have gotten a bigger aquarium :O|||no because he could become extremely agitated and escape

and go on a rampage, remember a snail is a wild animal and you could be held responsible for any damage it does to lives and property|||Yes that will be fine. Snails and shrimp are probably the best option for that size tank. The really big apple snails may get a bit big, but the smaller types will be OK.

Ian|||yes you can i have kept may be more than 30 fishes in a smaller tank than yours.|||Sounds fine to me. Could do a sea monkey as well.|||why not it's a snail what's he gonna do complain sersly
