What happens when a golden mystery snail croaks?

I have two snails, and two neon on tetras. One snail just died, and it's shell was totally empty. The other snail had the front head of the dead snail. But where did the rest of it go? It's not like it's been dead for that long, so the fish couldn't have done that much work on it.





Just curious.|||no, trust me, fish will just suck snails up like jello jigglers. I had 4 snails with my goldfish, and they were all eaten. THe fish probably ate it. The other snail may have been carrying the head around like a trophy.|||lol, thanks
