How to remove an apple snail from my tank?

I want to find out if my apple snail is male of female, but itjust wont come off the glass, im scared that if i pull it too hard i'll pull it's shell off and that wouldn't be good :O so how can i take it out?|||Put something in the aquarium that will attract the snail, a big cabbage leaf, a slice of zucchini or sweet potato, or a cuttlebone. Once the snail is attached to this object, you can take out the object and the snail will be along for the ride.





There is always a risk with using force, such as pulling, or sliding a credit card under the snail's foot to dislodge the snail, or tapping it in the same spot repeatedly.|||just pull a bit harder. don't worry it will let go before you're able to rip it's body out of the shell.
