Why does my mystery snail float and get caught in the current of my filter?

My snail has been crawling on the tank and was letting go and floating over to my filters current getting caught in it and spinning around.. i keep trying to get him to a different place but he keeps going back! he's not dead i dont know whats wrong.. im worried he's dieing. any tips? is this normal|||I think your "he" might be a "she".

Mystery snail lay their eggs above the water line, but it sounds like you have your tank filled all the way to the top. It's trying to get out of the water to lay her eggs, but it sounds to me like she's falling back in when she hits the rim of the tank.

Mystery snails are sort of like guppies. If they've been with a male in the last few months, they can store the sperm. So unless you've had this snail for a while, and it's the only one in the tank, the eggs will be fertile. If you want your snail to lay eggs and keep the babies, lower the water level about 3 inches. http://www.aquariacentral.com/forums/att鈥?/a> The baby snails will die if the eggs are in the water.

This is a good website to read about mystery snail reproduction.

http://www.applesnail.net/|||Many snails like to let go of the sides of the tank and let themselves be pulled round by the water, they treat the tank like a water ride. Don't worry about it. If you want more snails, reduce the level of your water to allow them to lay their eggs. If you don't want more, the water is okay high.|||Maybe he's having fun?

And blowing bubbles?

I'm really not being sarcastic, sometimes snails and fish do odd things that worry us but really they are just playing.|||I don't think snails need filters for their water. Your snail sounds fine, it's just the current taking him.|||Maybe, that's his way of getting air. And the solid bubble is an air bubble :)
