Time in minutes and hours please! Our fish tank snail molted and I have absolutely no idea how long it takes for a snail to move from one shell to another shell and how long it takes for the snail to molt the shell and move. Thank you!|||hmmm snails don't molt, there shell grows with them throughout there lifespan|||I have salt water snails they find another shell and within 5 seconds they climb into the other shell.
you need slightly larger shells for the snail to crawl into..
good luck hope he finds a new home..(bigger shell)
